Why Intuition Kicks In

Have you spent a lot of time visualizing what you want, only to feel like nothing’s showing up? Are you ready to finally step into the financial life you desire, the relationships you crave, or the body that feels like home? Visualization is powerful—but now it’s time for action.
That’s why I love the Law of Cause and Effect. It’s the universal law of movement. The law of doing.
This law states that everything that happens is the result of something else. Cause → Effect.
I’m eating tomatoes from my garden because I planted tomato seeds. If I hadn’t planted them, they wouldn’t be here. Because I planted and watered them, I now get to enjoy the harvest.
It sounds obvious, right? But so often, we find ourselves waiting for things to appear in our lives without actually doing anything to bring them in—as if a magic pill or a perfectly worded affirmation will do all the work for us. (Even a magic pill won’t work if we don’t swallow it.)
We want our dream body but don’t want to give it what it needs—nourishing food, joyful movement, rest. Even if God were to deliver your dream life like a UPS package, you’d still need to open the door and bring it inside. Action is always required.
So how do we know what actions to take to get the "effect" we want?
Intuition.
When your goal is clear and held with purpose in your heart and mind, then the next step is to listen—to your intuition, your spirit, God, your gut—however you experience that guidance. And then you act. That’s where the real transformation happens.
Inspired action is the missing link for so many people. We get nudges, little ideas or promptings, and then fear steps in. We hesitate. We overthink.
So ask yourself:
What’s stopping you?
Is it too hard? Too expensive? Too uncomfortable? Too vulnerable?
Now imagine this: what if you knew, without a doubt, that if you took just three action steps, the result you’re dreaming of would become reality?
Wouldn’t it be easier to have that uncomfortable conversation? Make that bold phone call? Turn off the TV and finally write? Close the self-help book and finally do?
Here’s the truth: you can know with 100% certainty that every action you take is a cause—and every cause creates an effect. You cannot move without creating movement somewhere else. So if you want a different result, start causing something different. Choose actions that align with the result you’re aiming for.
Let’s look at some real-life examples:
-
If you watch TV all day and avoid movement or meaningful activity, what happens?
You can guarantee that your mind, body, and spirit will start to feel like mush. -
If you throw a ball at a wall, what happens?
Depending on the type of ball and the force behind it, it might bounce back, leave a dent, or just drop. But something always happens. -
If you visualize your goal with emotion, write down any inspired ideas, and take just one of those steps, what happens?
You’re one step closer. Take another step, and you’re a leap closer.
One of my favorite real-life examples of inspired action is from the 2008 Olympics. Michael Phelps had already won six gold medals and boldly declared to the world that he was going for eight. Then came the 100-meter butterfly final.
The entire race, he trailed behind Serbia’s Milorad Čavić. On the final stretch, Čavić took his last stroke and glided to the wall. Phelps did something unexpected: he took one more stroke. It broke all conventional form—but it won him the race. He touched the wall 1/100th of a second faster than Čavić.
Why did he take that last stroke?
I believe it was intuition.
His goal was crystal clear—he’d declared it to the world. He was locked in. So when his gut told him to move, he didn’t second-guess. He didn’t hesitate. He didn’t let logic override instinct. He acted. And he won.
Imagine if he hadn’t listened. Imagine if he had told himself, “Nah, that’s not how I usually do it.”
Please don’t talk yourself out of the action your intuition is asking you to take.
You have your own gold medals to win.
You have dreams waiting on you to act.
So take the step. Pick up the phone. Write the page. Sign up. Show up.
Get to work.
To your success!
