Why I Believe in Time Warps

Are You Crazy Busy? Do You Need a Time Warp?
Two weeks before I was scheduled to teach a live Facilitator Training class, I was teetering on the edge of a full-blown meltdown. Too many tasks, not enough hands, and definitely not enough time to get it all done before participants were due to arrive.
In that frantic state, time felt like it was flying by—yet hardly anything on my to-do list was actually getting finished. And just to make things more “interesting,” I had to stop in the middle of it all and fly out of state to meet with one of my mentors. It was a meeting that was not easy to come by and which I didn't dare cancel.
What happened next surprised me.
After that incredible meeting—where I got my head and heart back in the right place—I returned home feeling at peace. Totally calm.
But I didn’t jump back into the chaos right away. I spent unhurried time with my kids, enjoyed the stillness, and trusted that somehow... everything would work out.
Note: Nothing about my to-do list had changed. In fact, I now had less time than before. The only thing that had changed was my mindset.
Once I felt ready, I returned to my tasks—one calm step at a time. And to my surprise, I finished everything with four or five days to spare. Not only that, but there was nothing left undone. I couldn’t remember ever being that prepared for an event. It was a completely new experience for me.
Oddly enough, I started to worry that maybe the event would flop—only because I wasn’t facing the usual flood of resistance. In the past, the level of pre-event opposition had been a bizarre indicator of how powerful the event would be. The more chaos beforehand, the better things usually turned out—if I just pressed forward through it.
So for a long time, I resigned myself to believing that every event would be a massive test of faith… a mad dash to the finish line. If things didn’t get done, we’d just let them go and trust that it would still be okay.
But this time? The usual challenges never came. The event flowed beautifully. It felt untouched by the old resistance I had come to expect.
That’s when I realized—maybe I had “graduated” from that particular kind of challenge. Maybe I was entering a new level of being.
Looking back, I’m convinced I experienced a real time warp—not the sci-fi kind, but the kind that proves the truth of this idea: “Time is only measured unto man.” (Alma 40:8) And with God, all things are possible.
I believe that when your thoughts are in the right place—when your mindset is aligned with peace and trust—time bends for you. It slows down, stretches, and expands until you have exactly what you need to get the job done.
I’ve tested this enough to be sure:
When I’m late and stressed about it, the clock races. But if I calm my mind and imagine everything turning out okay—if I feel the relief of being in my seat with time to spare—the clock seems to slow. And even if I still show up “late,” somehow it no longer matters. Things shift. It works out.
Time management with this mindset in place can completely transform your life. It’s not just about scheduling better—it’s about thinking better.
So… do you need a time warp?
Are you racing through your days but still falling behind?
Let me show you how to experience this “time warp” phenomenon for yourself. It’s not magic. It’s about being a Genius with your thoughts.
Much love,
Leslie
