This, Too Shall Pass

What goes up must come down.
Much like the Law of Polarity, the Law of Rhythm helps us appreciate the good times even more when we're going through the hard ones. Life moves like the ocean—some waves crest high, others dip low, and some just sway gently from side to side. This law teaches us that there will be “the best of times and the worst of times.” And when we’re in the worst of times, we can find strength in the truth that the best of times are just around the corner.
When I was twenty-one, my family and I found out that my dad had pancreatic cancer. It was heartbreaking to watch one of my closest friends—one of my greatest examples—suffer the way he did. Some days were hopeful. Others were incredibly heavy. I can still recall the emotional rollercoaster: days filled with hope that he would recover, and others filled with despair over what might come.
I struggled deeply with depression. But eventually, I made a conscious decision: to push the dark thoughts aside and trust that things wouldn’t always be this bad. I decided to spend whatever time we had left together in the most uplifting way possible. That choice changed me. The Law of Rhythm gave me perspective and reminded me that the emotional tide would eventually turn.
Through it all, my dad remained a beacon of hope, no matter the outcome. His example taught me firsthand what it means to live with unwavering faith. That chapter of my life shaped how I understand and apply the Law of Rhythm—learning to carry hope from one day to the next, even as the storms of life press in.
No matter how rough and cold your winter may feel, remember: the sun will shine again. Be grateful for your low moments. Trust God. Be thankful that even in pain, you are learning and becoming something more.
And know this—you can influence your lows by managing your thoughts. Rather than giving in to negativity or letting circumstances control your mood, you can shift your mental rhythm. Lift your thoughts, and your vibration will rise with them. And once you spend enough time at a higher frequency, you'll begin to outgrow that space too.
Your current high will eventually become your new normal. And from there, you'll reach for something even greater. It’s all part of the rhythm of life—moving forward, growing, and discovering your true potential.
The tools to carry you through are already within reach. Humble yourself. Practice gratitude. Pray for an understanding heart. Have faith.
And remember: this too shall pass.
