It’s been on my mind for months now, and I’ve finally decided—it’s time to start writing articles more regularly again.

I’ve kept a journal for as long as I can remember, but lately I’ve felt a pull to share a little more publicly—some of the lessons, the messes, and the magic that come from chasing a few crazy dreams. I’m still on the journey, but I’ve learned a lot, and I think it’s time to let others in on it again.

People keep asking, “When’s your next seminar?” And I keep having to answer, “None scheduled yet.”

The truth is, we moved about 18 months ago, and after pouring 12–14 hour days into writing The Jackrabbit Factor (which hit #5 on the national bestseller list!) and Hidden Treasures: Heaven’s Astonishing Help with Your Money Matters, it was time to hit pause and finally set up house.

I needed to get organized before I lost my mind. When a child wakes up sick in the night, I want to know exactly where the thermometer and the Tylenol are. When it’s time to make dinner, I want to walk into my pantry and actually know what’s in there.

Yes, I do plan to hold more seminars in the future—but right now, I’m rebuilding balance. My family sacrificed a lot so I could write these books, and now it’s their turn to be the center of my focus again. I’m letting the books do the talking for a while.

Funny thing—I’ve noticed a seasonal pattern in how I operate. I go all in during the spring, go even harder in the summer, and by fall I’m usually out of steam and ready to regroup. The holidays are sacred family time, and then like clockwork, spring rolls back around and I’m ready to burst into action again.

So here we are in the fall. I’m working on a facelift for schooloflifemastery.com, writing as I go, and also getting an affiliate program up and running. One thing I’m finally accepting: I can’t keep doing everything myself. But wow, is it hard to let go and delegate.

Oh—and we’re planning to create the Jackrabbit Factor audiobook soon, too!

This weekend, my husband and I are heading to San Francisco to learn from one of our mentors. It’s time for a check-up from the neck-up as we start putting together our “team.” We’ve known for a while that there’s more to do than we can handle alone. It’s long overdue.

In the meantime, I’m discovering little ways to save time and energy. Like grocery delivery. Who knew?

For the longest time, I avoided it—assuming the fees wouldn’t be worth it. But I finally tried it through our local Safeway, and wow… total game changer. No more figuring out what to do with the kids while I shop, no more three-hour marathons in the Arizona heat pushing carts, loading and unloading bags, sweating through the parking lot… and then coming home too exhausted to even put the groceries away.

For five to eight bucks? I’m sold. Not to mention—when I order online, the sale items are flagged, and I can see the price-per-unit right there on the screen. I probably saved more than the fee just by avoiding impulse buys. (Plus, five gallons of milk for ten bucks? That’ll hold us for almost a week.)

It’s the little things, really. Like groceries at the door. I’m learning to leverage—my time, my energy, and my sanity.
