Molly Magneto and the Laws

Magnets are my thing.
My handle on Instagram is Molly Magneto. Ever since I was a kid, I’ve been fascinated by them. I used to spend hours in our backyard sandbox collecting iron filings with a magnet. Those tiny, hair-like particles were so responsive—so obedient to the pull of my horseshoe magnet. With just my hands and a bit of imagination, I could shape them into a pirate’s beard, a mermaid’s tail, or a towering volcano. I’d become a one-legged pirate on the hunt for buried treasure, dragging my magnet across the earth, marveling at what felt like pure magic. With one simple tool, I could attract only what I wanted—and leave everything else behind.
By nature, magnets have both a north and south pole. And magnetically sensitive materials align themselves accordingly: opposites attract, likes repel. It’s simple science—but it’s also a brilliant visual for understanding the Law of Vibration. Just like a magnet, I can attract or repel the things I desire based on what I choose to project. Take it a step further—into electromagnetism—and things get even more exciting. Add electricity, flip the power switch, and suddenly the magnetic force is supercharged. The attraction—or repulsion—is amplified.
That’s the lesson I’ve come to love most: I get to flip the switch. I decide what shows up in my life by what I focus on—and when I attach strong emotion to those thoughts, I activate my own power source. That emotion is the electricity. That’s what supercharges the vibration I’m sending out.
Before I learned how the Law of Vibration worked, life just felt... unfair. I struggled to feel genuine joy or find anything to be grateful for. Money, especially, carried a heavy emotional weight. My husband and I even made a pact to avoid talking about finances altogether—just to keep the peace. (Although looking back, I think it was more silence than peace.) I smiled often, but it wasn’t real. I was just going through the motions, slowly sinking into a deeper and darker hole. And I remember wishing those iron particles in the sandbox had actually been pirate treasure—something I could cash in to buy my way out of the mess I felt stuck in.
Now, after years of study and practice, I see things differently. I understand that I was creating my circumstances through the vibrations I was sending out—whether I realized it or not. Like many people, I find that changing negative thought patterns is easier when I can anchor the shift in a visual. So now, when I catch myself spiraling into negative thinking, I picture myself flipping that electromagnetic switch. I intentionally shift into gratitude—not just in words, but in feeling. And just like that, I begin to draw in the outcome I truly want instead of pushing it away.
I imagine those iron particles again—this time magnetizing toward me, lining up one by one to help build the towering volcano of success I’m now creating.
