Several months ago, I was given $100, and I felt the Spirit clearly prompt me to tuck it behind my phone case. So I did. And over time, I completely forgot it was there. I carried it with me for months without giving it a second thought.

One day, while grocery shopping, a woman approached me in the parking lot with two small children by her side. She asked if I had any money that could help them. I told her I wasn’t sure if I had any cash but offered to check after I finished putting my groceries in the car.

As I loaded the bags, her little boys began helping me. While they worked alongside me, I felt the Spirit nudge me again—this time with more urgency: Ask them their story. Ask what their greatest need is. Ask how you can help.

So I did.

I finished up, turned to the mother, and gently asked how they had come to be here and what they needed most. She told me they had left their home country just a month before. Their greatest need in that moment? A hotel room for the night.

I asked if they needed food or if there was anything else I could do. And right then—as if a light switched on—I suddenly remembered the $100 in my phone case. In that instant, God reminded me: That money is hers, not yours.

I had known it all along—that the money wasn’t mine to keep. It had been given to me for someone else. And in that moment, I finally understood who.

I shared that with the mother—that I had been carrying this money for months, knowing it was meant for someone, and now I knew it was her. She smiled and told me she had prayed to know who to ask, and God had led her to me.

She thanked me again and again—not just for the money, but for listening to God and being willing to share.

That experience taught me something powerful: it was never about the money. It was about being ready and willing to bless others through the guidance of God.

After attending Genius Bootcamp, I had learned about the Law of Perpetual Transmutation—that everything is always either forming or dissolving. That $100 had sat quietly in my phone case, its purpose slowly taking shape. Though I hadn’t thought about it often, the intention behind it was still alive. And when the moment was right, it fully materialized—transforming from a quiet impression to a direct blessing for a mother and her children who simply needed a place to sleep.
