Intentional Paradigm Shifting

Nothing in the universe is ever still—everything is in a constant state of motion or vibration. Science confirms it: molecules vibrate, radio waves vibrate, even people vibrate. Though we may not see it with the naked eye, if we look through a microscope—even at a seemingly solid object—we’ll see it moving. Everything vibrates at different frequencies, whether it’s spirit, mind, energy, or matter.

The way we think, feel, and speak sends out a vibration—and those vibrations either attract or repel the people, opportunities, and outcomes in our lives.

My son had an experience that really showed me and my wife just how real the law of vibration is.

We had recently moved to Wyoming, and he was struggling to make friends. His 4th-grade year was especially hard—he was the “new kid” at school, and ever since then, friendships had felt out of reach.

He began to shift. Once a confident boy, he now believed that other kids didn’t like him. As those thoughts took root, his self-worth started to deteriorate—mentally and spiritually. He started sending out a low, negative vibration. And without realizing it, he was pushing people away. He withdrew from church, sports, and anything social.

One Sunday, his teacher quietly pulled my wife aside. She shared that our son would come to class and sit alone in the corner, scowling. He believed two boys were talking about him behind his back. She said he refused to participate, no matter how much she tried to include him.

That afternoon, my wife sat down with him to talk about what had happened—and had a small revelation.

She had studied the same universal laws, and in that moment, she knew exactly which one to apply. She explained the law of vibration to him in simple terms: that his thoughts, body language, and energy were actually pushing others away. Then she invited him to try an experiment.

She challenged him to imagine going to church the following week with confidence. She encouraged him to participate in the class—even if the other kids didn’t warm up right away. She explained that changing his energy might take time, but if he stayed consistent, people would eventually respond differently.

He took her advice.

The very next Sunday, everything changed. His classmates were kind. He participated. His teacher noticed the difference immediately. It was like watching a different kid walk into the room.

His next big test came with 6th-grade football. He was unsure about signing up and changed his mind several times. But eventually, he committed—and he enjoyed the first few days. On day four, though, he came home saying, “Football’s not for me. I’m quitting.”

We reminded him of his commitment—and that quitting wasn’t an option.

Once again, we revisited the laws and encouraged him to shift his thoughts. The very next day, he hopped in the car after practice and said, “I love football!” He’s still playing, and it’s been a great experience—because he’s learning to shift his mindset, to raise his vibration. And he’s only eleven.

When we dwell in negative vibrations, we create negative results. But we have the power—and the divine gift—to change that. Positive thoughts lead to positive results. As the scriptures teach:

A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit (Matthew 7:17–18).

When we change our thoughts, we change our vibration. And when our mental state shifts, our spiritual vibration follows—bringing better outcomes, deeper peace, and a life more aligned with joy.
