How to Overcome Financial Problems

Like so many of you, I’ve spent most of my adult life wrestling with finances. Whether it was wondering how I’d make the next car or house payment, or nervously checking caller ID to dodge yet another creditor, the fear was real. Overwhelming. Paralyzing at times.
But here’s the good news: it can be overcome.
You might be wondering, How?
How do I fight these financial battles when I feel completely unprepared and overrun?
How do I focus on a solution when all I can think about is the stress and fear pressing down on me right now?
It starts with your mindset.
Albert Einstein said,
“We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.”
Creativity, innovation, clarity—none of those come while we’re panicking. In fact, they often require us to pause. To breathe. To step back from the problem, even briefly, and allow space for a new way of thinking to emerge.
So first, relax your grip. Give your mind room to work differently.
Next, change your vibration. When you’re caught in a cycle of fear and scarcity, you attract more of the same. But when you shift to thoughts of gratitude and abundance—even if your circumstances haven’t yet changed—you begin to change. And that opens the door for better things to flow in.
Instead of stressing about the car or mortgage payment, try being grateful that you even have a car or a home to pay for. Gratitude is a powerful tool. A genuine “attitude of gratitude” shifts your vibration and opens your mind to solutions you couldn’t access before.
Humbling yourself this way brings peace. It grounds you and helps you reconnect with your own spiritual insight. It prepares you to receive inspiration.
Let’s look at an example. Instead of thinking,
“Ugh, another bill. I don’t know how I’m going to pay this,”
Try reframing it:
“Ah, the mortgage is due. I’m so grateful to have a roof over my head. I look forward to discovering the means to take care of this.”
Same bill. Same situation. But a completely different energy.
The first approach blocks ideas. The second one invites them. It activates your creativity. It allows space for divine inspiration.
Here’s a personal affirmation I use to help keep my mindset aligned with faith, abundance, and action:
“I am so grateful to Heavenly Father that He has blessed me with $[insert goal amount].
I am so happy and grateful that I keep my financial promises on time, and that I am independently wealthy.
It gives me such powerful and overwhelming relief and peace of mind to meet my financial responsibilities.
I cannot help but smile, and my toes literally tingle thinking about how blessed I am.
It is such a warm and exciting feeling to fulfill my financial goals.
My focus is now on helping others achieve this same freedom.
I am thankful to Heavenly Father for allowing me to be a righteous steward of His money.”
This mindset and affirmation have made a real difference in my life. And I trust that with faith, gratitude, and persistence, something similar—straight from your own heart—can work for you too.
