Can’t Catch A Break

guest posts law of attraction law of vibration Feb 13, 2020

Ever feel like when one thing goes wrong, everything else starts falling apart too? It’s easy to chalk that up to bad luck, but often it’s more than just coincidence. What you’re experiencing is actually a reflection of what you’re creating through the Law of Vibration—sometimes referred to as the Law of Attraction.

Everything in the universe vibrates, including us. Our personal vibration fluctuates—sometimes we operate at a high frequency, sometimes at a low one. You’ve probably noticed people who always seem upbeat, smiling, and like everything is going their way. In those moments, they’re vibrating at a higher frequency. On the flip side, you may know others who are constantly angry, frustrated, or down—and life seems to always be hard for them. They’re operating at a lower frequency.

The way we vibrate determines what we align with. When we’re vibrating high, we attract uplifting people and experiences. When we’re vibrating low, we draw in more hardship.

Think of tuning forks. Strike one, and it starts to vibrate and hum. Without touching it, a nearby tuning fork of the same pitch will begin to vibrate too—purely from the energy around it. That’s the Law of Vibration at work. When we're on the same frequency as something else—whether it's a mood, an experience, or a person—we sync up with it. Just like the tuning forks.

Of course, life is going to test us. That's part of our divine growth. Every challenge has the potential to strengthen our mind, body, and spirit. But what happens when we hit a stretch where we just can't seem to catch a break?

Let’s say you get into a car accident. You're shaken up—maybe angry, scared, or frustrated. You vent to your friends and family. That emotional charge pulls you into the vibration of the accident and all the negativity tied to it. Then you find out the repair shop is booked for three weeks and your insurance won’t cover a rental. More frustration, more complaining—and now you’re vibrating even lower. Next, you learn your deductible is double what you expected, and you can’t afford it. The negativity builds. You start saying, “I just can’t catch a break,” and it feels true.

But that’s also the energy you’re now attracting.

While you’re waiting to get the car fixed and trying to save up the money, your company announces layoffs—and you’re one of them. The cycle continues: anger, fear, sadness, complaining. And again, you wonder why everything bad is happening to you. But what if it’s not just happening to you—what if it's happening through your vibration?

The good news? You can shift your vibration anytime. Literally every second of every day, you have the power to raise (or lower) your frequency.

Ever hear someone say, “Bad things happen in threes”? Here's my theory: Something hard happens, and we drop into a low vibration. That draws in a second tough event, and our emotions sink lower. Then comes the third, and finally we tell ourselves, Okay, that’s three. Things have to get better now. That shift in mindset brings hope, which lifts your vibration. You start looking for the good, and—surprise—good things start showing up. You're now in sync with a higher frequency.

But what if we didn’t wait for the third thing? What if we shifted earlier?

What if, after the car accident, we paused to find just one good thing? Maybe you're grateful no one was hurt. Or that it happened close to home instead of on a road trip. Gratitude and love are the highest vibrating emotions. Anger and fear are the lowest. When we find something—anything—to appreciate, even during hardship, we begin to raise our frequency. And that slight shift can be enough to start attracting something different.

So now, when the repair shop can’t get you in for three weeks, maybe you're grateful for extra time with your spouse, riding to work together. That gratitude lifts your vibration even more. And it continues. A new, upward cycle begins.

Hard things will still happen. That’s part of the journey. But how we respond—our vibration—shapes the story we live. Just like the tuning fork eventually goes silent, we, too, can reset. And when we intentionally “strike” a new emotional tone—choosing gratitude, love, or hope—we elevate our frequency and realign ourselves with better things.

So the next time you feel like you just can’t catch a break, check in with yourself. How are you feeling? What are you focusing on? Are you vibrating high… or low?

Then remember—you have a choice. You can shift. You can break the cycle. Even something as simple as a smile can lift you enough to start thinking a happier thought.

Smile. Life is good. God is good. Carry on.
