Achieving Success and Wealth - Ask, Believe, Receive

Have you ever felt like success and wealth are just barely out of reach? Maybe you want abundance but, deep down, don’t feel like you deserve it. Or maybe you’re worried that if you become rich, you won’t inherit the kingdom of God. These are misconceptions — and they can be thrown away when you understand how wealth and success are truly meant to be achieved.

In Matthew 25:15–28, the Lord tells of three men who were each given different amounts of talents (money). The first two men doubled what they were given. But the last man, who received the least, was afraid he’d lose it — so he buried it instead. Interestingly, the Lord rewarded the men who increased what they were given.
When you really think about that parable, it becomes clear: the Lord expects us to take what He’s given us and increase it.
In Doctrine & Covenants 104:13, 56, it says, "For it is expedient that I, the Lord, should make every man accountable, as a steward over earthly blessings, which I have made and prepared for my creatures... And if the properties are mine, then ye are stewards; otherwise ye are no stewards."
Everything we have belongs to God. We are stewards. And we’re responsible to manage and multiply what He’s placed in our care.

Here are some ways we can do that — and create abundance in our lives:

1. Have a Dream or Goal
You need a clear vision of what you want. But remember — you don't want money for the sake of money. You want what money will allow you to do. Maybe you dream of running a company. Picture the building, the employees, the energy. Hold that vision clearly in your mind.

2. Believe in Your Dream or Goal
Believing is crucial. Mark 11:24 says, "Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them."
This scripture says it all. ANYTHING you desire — pray for it, believe you will receive it, and it will come. It must be a righteous desire — something that will bless your life and the lives of others.

3. Ask God
You have to ask. God can’t bless us if we never ask.
(It's a little like women who wish their husbands just knew what they wanted without having to ask — and the men stay clueless!)

4. Don't Worry About How
When you're firmly fixed on your goal and believe with all your heart, you don't need to stress about how it will happen.
The Lord will guide you. He’ll send people and resources to help you along the way.
Think about Noah. God told him to build an Ark — and not just that, but to fill it with two of every animal!
If anyone had a right to wonder, "How on earth am I going to do that?" it was Noah.
But the Lord knew how — and He will guide you in achieving your goals too, no matter how big they seem.

5. Listen, Learn, and Work
After you dream, listen for the nudges and promptings that come to you. Then act on them. Learn the skills you need. Train. Show up and do the work.
The people and ideas you need will be drawn to you.

6. Understand the Principles of Abundance, Scarcity, and the Soul of Money
God is abundant. He has already created enough for all of us to thrive.
If you believe there's not enough to go around, you're thinking with a scarcity mindset — and you’ll attract more scarcity.
There is enough for everyone if we act as good stewards and generously share what we have.

7. Give to Receive
Money is meant to flow through our lives like water.
We might build a little reservoir — and that’s okay — but if we try to block it all up, it becomes stagnant and useless.
Money is simply a tool to create value in our lives and in the lives of others.
When you give, you open yourself up to receive more.
Be generous. Pay your tithing. Malachi 3:10 says, "Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house... and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it."

Success and abundance are absolutely within your reach.
When you ask, believe, and live in harmony with the principles of stewardship, abundance can start flowing naturally into your life.
