Shooting Stars and Breakthroughs

Meet Kelsey Stratton, Mindset Mastery Graduate
Kelsey’s journey through the Mindset Mastery course is full of wonder, gratitude, and proof that both small miracles and life-changing breakthroughs can come when we live by faith.
Phase 1: The “Inconsequential Goals”
For Kelsey, inconsequential goals lit a spark.
“I felt like a fire was lit in me when it came to inconsequential goals! They kept coming true for me so I’d just keep making more.”
Here are just a few of the many goals that came to pass:
-
💍 Larimar eternity ring - something she had been searching for for years, found online at a bargain.
-
💫 Two shooting stars at the same time - spotted while recovering from morning sickness on a houseboat at Lake Powell.
-
🕊️ Three hummingbirds at once - a classmate’s goal that became her own; her whole family celebrated seeing five at once.
-
🛏️ Matching blue pillow - rediscovered (and rescued) after a rental guest hid it under a bed.
-
🚐 VW van sighting - a purple van with a canoe on top melted her heart.
-
🎖️ Quest-style kids’ goal tracker - visualized and quickly found online for homeschool.
-
🩺 Doctor texted availability - wrote it down and received the exact message she needed.
-
🌌 Northern Lights - an unexpected bucket-list moment in Southern Utah, captured with her phone.
“Inconsequential goals truly rock 🤜🏻🤛🏻 They make the spark come alive! I’m ready for more!”
Phase 2: A Bigger Stretch
Kelsey’s meaningful short-term goal was deeply personal: helping her autistic 9-year-old son find peace and tools for emotional regulation.
“I am in tears of gratitude for this goal. God truly guided us through this journey. After years of searching in ‘fight or flight’ mode, I finally turned this goal over to the Lord, knowing I couldn’t achieve it without Him.”
As she let go and trusted, the right resources appeared: therapy, skill-building tools, and the right medication. The transformation has been profound. Her son is calmer, happier, and more at ease.
“He still has his personality, but now with peace. His anxiety has decreased. I believe it began when I chose to stay calm, have faith, and watch the answers come.”
Facing Fear and Breaking Through
Kelsey also uncovered a deeply rooted fear: her neighbor’s dog, which had bitten her in the past. For years, she attracted fearful encounters with the dog because she subconsciously expected them.
Through the course, she shifted her inner dialogue:
“I am safe. I am safe. I am safe.”
Over time, the dog appeared less and less. She realized she could change her vibrations, surrender her fear to God, and stop living as a victim.
Breaking Through the Terror Barrier
Kelsey admits the work is ongoing, but she now has tools.
“It definitely takes practice and work to heal and change your mindset. Sometimes I visualize the fearful thought, thank it for trying to protect me, then drop-kick it hard! It makes me laugh every time, and then I replace it with truth.”
Kelsey’s Advice for Others Facing Fear
“Fear is trying to teach you something. Pay attention to how you feel, acknowledge it, and recognize it as a signal that growth is ahead. Reprogramming your thoughts is key. Fear breeds doubt, while faith turns dreams into reality. So, where is your focus? Faith or fear?”
Her favorite scripture keeps her anchored:
Proverbs 3:5–6
“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
Kelsey’s journey is a reminder that miracles, big and small, come when we choose faith over fear and let God guide the way.
