WILL YOU COME WORK FOR ME?

I taught elementary school for eight years before I finally felt the nudge to resign and become an entrepreneur. Actually, those promptings started a full year earlier, encouraging me to stop teaching and work from home—but it didn’t make sense at the time. I had just begun my career. I earned my bachelor’s and master’s degrees after all my kids were born and started teaching when my youngest was in second grade. I even had the joy of teaching her in class—that was such a special experience. I loved my job! Eight years felt too short. After all, there were teachers at my school with thirty-plus years under their belts. Surely I was supposed to teach at least twenty years for retirement, right?

But after a year of wrestling with that inner battle, I made the decision to quit at the end of the school year and work for myself. I’d been studying life coaching and mindset coaching and could see myself making a career out of it. Honestly, it hardly felt like work—it was just fun! The hard part? Finding clients.

I’d taken business courses and learned how to connect with my ideal clients, and I put those lessons into practice. It wasn’t always comfortable, but I kept moving forward, doing my best to live by the principles I teach and stay in alignment. I always knew when something didn’t feel right—when it felt “icky” or “off.” But the surprising part? When I simply kept moving, clients started showing up out of nowhere—even if they weren’t the ones I’d been nurturing through previous outreach. I’m still amazed how, when we apply these universal laws of prosperity, things begin to fall into place in miraculous ways.

Twice, two online business owners I’d met through different courses reached out to me, asking if I’d join their teams as a Mindset Coach to support their clients. Both told me my name kept coming to mind, and they felt compelled to invite me onboard. Suddenly, my calendar filled up fast, and I loved witnessing how, by co-creating with God and stepping toward my dreams with trust in His timing—not clinging to how clients would come—I saw miracles unfold. I was open to receiving all God had in store, and He provided far more clients than I could have attracted on my own.
