When Your Purpose is Clear
Nov 07, 2013
It’s been on my to-do list for half a decade, and I’m finally starting to check some of it off—making shorter clips from my events to serve as quick reminders of key principles.
Here’s one I recently posted on YouTube and Facebook, and I wanted to share it here too, along with a bit of clarification afterward: Watch Here
The full event was over two hours long, so a 2-minute snippet can’t capture everything. I want to highlight a few points you might miss if you don’t get to watch the whole thing:
Just because you’re on the right path, and even if you have unseen help, doesn’t mean it won’t be tough. Living your purpose will stretch you and test your faith. But knowing there’s unseen support can help you hold on and keep moving forward until you reach success.
When I say ‘soul purpose,’ I mean whatever you’re focused on right now—something meaningful to your soul. Sometimes, it’s even your ‘sole’ purpose.
Your purpose will likely evolve over time. What feels like your mission today may shift tomorrow as you grow and prepare for the next thing you were meant to do.
For example, 20 years ago my soul purpose was helping struggling math students—it was my passion and love, and it taught me to love teaching. Ten years ago, it shifted to helping families improve their income by teaching success principles. Today, it’s a combination of both: raising my kids and preparing them for college and life.
