The Laws of Success

To begin understanding the principles that govern success, I recommend reading Hidden Treasures: Heaven’s Astonishing Help with Your Money Matters. This article builds on one of the book’s final concepts: the Vacuum Law of Prosperity—which states:

Nature abhors a vacuum.

That means, to receive what you truly want, you must first make space for it. Let go of what no longer serves you, including things, thoughts, and beliefs that aren’t aligned with your vision.

Is applying the Vacuum Law an act of faith? Absolutely.
It requires you to believe before you see the way forward.

What if the money for new carpet doesn’t show up right away? What if the right couch takes longer than expected? This is where you hold steady. You trust the laws. You believe. You do your part—and your part is to have faith and look for the way.

Yes, your faith will be strengthened as you use it. It’s like a muscle—it grows with practice. For us, believing the Vacuum Law worked in something as small as carpet gave us the courage to dream even bigger. And again and again, we watched those dreams come true. I’m never surprised when they do—but I’m always amazed.

We now live in daily gratitude for the abundance around us—both the kind money can buy and the kind it can’t. More than anything, these principles have brought peace into our lives. And really, what could be more valuable than that?

Wealth Principles and Yard Sales

Believe it or not, wealthy people often see yard sales differently than most. And if you can adopt their mindset, it might just change the course of your financial (and personal) future. I’m talking about real wealth—the kind that shows up in both your bank account and your quality of life.

Whether or not you believe in God, most of us agree there’s a single source from which all things come. Scientists call it energy. Theologians call it God. Either way, the truth is:
There is something within you, and all around you, that wants you to grow and succeed.

The Universe—or God—is ready to help you. But this is a lawful world. Things don’t just happen at random. You must operate in harmony with the laws of prosperity to unlock what’s already yours to receive.

If you're not experiencing the prosperity you want, it may simply be that you’ve unknowingly been out of alignment with certain principles. That’s actually great news—because it means all you might be missing is a bit of understanding.

A Simple, Powerful Idea:

Everything created has a purpose.
That dusty old chair in the garage? It had a purpose. If it’s no longer serving that purpose in your life, it’s time to let it go—so it can fulfill its purpose elsewhere.

The jeans from 1987? They were made to be worn, appreciated, and useful. They deserve to be somewhere they’ll be valued (and let’s be honest—you don’t feel good in them anyway).

Your mindset shifts when your space supports who you’re becoming. I’d rather have a closet with three outfits that fit and make me feel amazing than one stuffed with clothes that make me feel defeated. Nature—or God—will help fill that vacuum with something better. That’s the law.

When you release what no longer serves you, you create space—and by law, that space will be filled. Want to go even further? Don’t just sell the chair—give it away. Bless someone else with it. Your Turn: Clear the Space

Here’s your challenge:

1. Make a list of at least 10 things in your home, garage, or yard that are just taking up space. These are items you haven’t used in a year—or even in the last 6 months.

2. Write down one thing you want that you don’t currently have—something you feel is out of reach.

3. Give the first list away. Create a vacuum. Make room for the thing you want.

Set a date to have the items gone. Know what you want to replace them with. Be clear. Commit it to paper. And then watch what happens. By law, something must fill the space you’ve created. And when you're clear about what you want? You invite it in.
