The way OUT
Mar 06, 2025
This week in my class, one of our students asked a really insightful question about the Law of Vibration. She was worried that her current struggles meant she was somehow responsible for attracting those unwanted conditions. We talked through it — especially about victims of abuse or violence — and how it’s neither right nor helpful to blame them for such painful experiences.
We explored the concepts of agency and the Law of Polarity. We discussed the powerful truth that every adversity carries within it a promised gift, equal in magnitude to its dark side. We considered the idea that sometimes, when bad things happen to good people, it might be because they’re at a level, or frequency, where God knows they’re ready to face the adversity to receive the gift it contains. It’s a challenging thought—hardly a comfort to those suffering—but it speaks to the caliber of the individual. These ideas are not easy to process. Finding peace, joy, and the hidden benefits amid hardship takes time and effort. But the promises are sure, and it’s our opportunity to test them.
But there’s more I want to share.
After our call ended, I couldn’t stop thinking about the conversation. I posted a follow-up in our private group, and I want to share it here for everyone to benefit from:
A follow-up about yesterday’s ATI discussion—don’t forget the stickman!
Remember, the Law of Vibration is meant to help us move forward. When we visualize ourselves living the experience we desire, we start to feel how we want to feel. That shifts our vibration to match the outcome we want. In that state, we tap into a broadcast of ideas and naturally attract the people and resources to help us get there. Others begin to feel differently around us; our words and actions reflect our higher vibration.
But if we use the law in reverse—if we fixate on our current situation instead, obsessing over our vibration as it is—then (think stickman), we focus too much on X. We bring in more X data, think more about X, get emotionally charged by X, and by law, keep ourselves in an X vibration, creating more of the same.
No matter what conclusions we draw from this analysis, the result is the same.
The Law of Vibration’s purpose is to show us the way out—but only if we stop dwelling on what is. According to the law, our circumstances respond to the thoughts we give the most energy and attention.
So in the creative process, it’s not helpful to analyze your current state over and over. God doesn’t need all the details about how things are or how they got that way. Neither do we. What truly matters is where we want to be.
This reminds me of the scene in The Chosen where Jesus talks with the crippled man at the healing pool. Jesus invites him to be healed, but the man can only focus on all the reasons why he can’t get there fast enough. Jesus sees the Y — the possibility of healing — while the man is stuck in the X — all the obstacles.
Look at the pattern in this scripture and notice the key to miracles:
X:
“And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years. When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole? The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.” (John 5:5-7)
Y:
“Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk. And immediately the man was made whole, and took up his bed, and walked” (John 5:8-9)

Wait, what’s the stickman?
It’s a simple but powerful model of how the mind works, originally developed by Dr. Thurman Fleet (Concept Therapy), and introduced to me by Bob Proctor. Here’s a never-before-released clip of me teaching it early on in Genius Bootcamp:
