The Tide Always Comes Back

law of attraction law of vibration leslie householder’s posts May 15, 2018

The Law of Vibration (often referred to as the Law of Attraction) is a natural law of the Universe. That means when you live in harmony with it, everything you need to reach your goals can come to you—naturally and without force.

But here’s something that doesn’t get talked about enough: peace of mind is part of the process. You need to stay calm and let nature take its course. Consider these examples from nature:

  • You don’t rush a baby. You give it the full 9 months to grow.

  • You can’t tug on a seedling to make it sprout faster—it will die.

  • You don’t try to stop the tide from going out. It must go out fully before it can return.

Life has a natural rhythm—ups and downs, ebb and flow. And the secret to success is learning to ride the tide, not resist it. So how do we stay hopeful when we’re in a downturn?

Remember: the tide always comes back in. Just because you’re in a low right now doesn’t mean you’re stuck there forever. That’s not how nature works.

When you start to spiral emotionally, thinking things are bad and only getting worse, stop. That’s like watching the tide go out and saying,

“Oh no! There goes our shoreline forever! I guess the whole ocean’s leaving!”

Of course not. That would be silly. So be patient. Start looking for signs that the tide is turning. Even if they’re small, they’re there. If you search with expectation, you will find evidence that things are shifting for you. Focus on that, and more will appear—by law.

And if your tide doesn’t turn as quickly as you hoped, think back to the seed. (As outlined in The Mindset Fundamentals Ecourse)

When you plant a seed, you don’t panic when it doesn’t sprout overnight. You trust the process. You give it time. You let nature do her part.

Now, let’s return to that seed analogy again.

The moment anxiety creeps in about your goal, remind yourself of the seedling. Just because you haven’t seen the fruit yet doesn’t mean it’s not coming. You might not even see a sprout. But something is happening beneath the soil.

That’s how I try to approach my own goals. I plant them—just like Richard did in The Jackrabbit Factor—and then I take inspired action in a calm and deliberate way. Sometimes I go a while without seeing any results. But I keep going, because I know the growth is happening. Eventually, I always see a sprout.

And when that tiny sprout breaks through the soil? I don’t pull on it, begging it to bear fruit overnight. That would kill it. Instead, I trust. I wait. I protect it. Because patience and confidence are two of the most important ingredients for success.

Confidence matters, because it’s your faith that continues to fuel the seed’s growth.

So keep your thoughts centered. Choose to believe in the success of your vision. Don’t underestimate the power your thoughts have in shaping your circumstances.

Believe. Stay steady. Choose faith.

No matter how things may look right now, nature assures us: the tide will turn. Look forward to it.
