Finding Peace, Love & Joy in Making and Keeping Money
Let’s talk about money—not just the dollars in your bank account, but the energy you associate with it. Whether you realize it or not, there are two types of money we all interact with:
Happy money and sad money.
Happy money is the kind you receive and spend with ease. It feels light, joyful, and free. It flows in and out of your life in a way that feels aligned and peaceful.
Sad money is heavy. It’s the money you feel anxious about, the kind you clutch tightly out of fear. It’s tied to panic every time it leaves your account because you’re not sure when—or if—it’ll ever come back.
So ask yourself:
When you think about money, which one are you more familiar with—happy money or sad money?
Here’s the truth: Money is energy. It’s all around us, like the air we breathe. And God wants us to experience abundance—not just for ourselves, but so we can bless others and help make the world a better place.
If you’ve ever felt stuck—whether in earning, keeping, or simply feeling at peace with money—here are three powerful steps to help shift your mindset and release those blocks:
1. See the Gift
Think back to a time when something painful or frustrating happened around money.
Revisit that moment. Let yourself feel what it was like.
Now step outside of it and observe the situation from a distance.
Ask yourself: What gifts came out of that experience—ones I might not have noticed before?
Every challenge holds a hidden blessing, if you’re willing to look for it.
2. Check Your Beliefs
Take a moment to reflect on what you believe about money.
Are those beliefs empowering—or limiting?
Journal. Pray. Meditate.
Ask yourself: Where did these beliefs come from?
If they came from you—and they no longer serve you—let them go.
If they came from someone else—give them back. They don’t belong to you.
Now rewrite those beliefs into something new—limitless.
Start telling a better story—one where money is easy, peaceful, and aligned with who you truly are.
3. Practice Gratitude
This step is simple but powerful.
Say “thank you” to your money—as it comes in, and as it goes out.
Treat money like a person—someone who deserves love, respect, and appreciation.
The more gratitude you offer, the more ease you’ll feel—and your finances will begin to reflect that shift.
When you can let money circulate freely, you make space for more to return.
Gratitude isn’t just polite—it’s magnetic.
If you can master these three things—seeing the gifts, checking your beliefs, and practicing gratitude—your relationship with money will begin to flourish.
And from that grounded, joyful place, you’ll be able to go out and bless the world.
Because when God looks for someone to use as an instrument in His hands, He looks for someone ready. And you want that person to be you.
“Being a millionaire or being rich isn’t a dollar amount—it’s a state of being.”
So breathe.
Shift.
Receive.
And trust that abundance is already on its way.
