Seeing Candlesticks and Finding Confidence

mastery student spotlight Sep 29, 2025

Meet Resha Bartlett, Mindset Mastery Graduate

Resha’s journey through the Mindset Mastery course is a powerful example of how faith, small actions, and trusting God’s guidance can help overcome self-doubt, fear, and old limiting beliefs.

Phase 1: The “Inconsequential Goal”

For Resha, even setting a simple goal initially felt intimidating.

“I had a hard time deciding what to set as my goal… perfectionism problems! I prayed for guidance and gratitude, and received the idea to see my Candlestick livestock brand shape in nature. I wrote it in my journal as if I’d already seen it.”

Though doubts arose, she chose to trust the process. During a family hunting trip, she looked attentively for her goal. Later, back in the car, she saw her daughter’s hat with a Candlestick patch, a perfect representation of her vision.

“God delivered exactly what I asked for. This inconsequential goal taught me that He cares about even the tiniest details of my life.”

Phase 2: A Bigger Stretch

Resha’s meaningful short-term goal was to confidently teach and lead a group at her Mom’s Workshop.

“It felt like a real stretch to believe I could teach confidently and overcome feelings of inadequacy. I was intimidated, but I ended up leading with clarity, inspiring participants, and growing my friendships with my team. Everything I intended, except having exactly 12 participants, came true, and something even better emerged—a perfect group experience.”

She also faced challenges with receiving money for her work, a deep-seated fear of not deserving. By stepping forward, she broke through old patterns and strengthened her belief in herself.

“This milestone shifted my confidence, my ability to serve others, and my faith in God’s guidance. I now teach and mentor regularly, serve on boards, and continue growing in alignment with my soul purpose.”

Facing Fear and Breaking Through

Resha identified core fears around self-worth, being a “good enough” daughter, and achieving her goals.

“I started small, decluttering one pile for 30 seconds to 5 minutes daily. Each small action strengthened my belief that I could do hard things and change old programs. Facing fears in tiny steps helped me rebuild confidence in myself and trust God’s plan.”

She broke through several terror barriers:

  • Investing in herself despite fear of not deserving it.

  • Completing her inconsequential goal despite perfectionism and doubt.

  • Achieving the bite-sized portion of her short-term goal despite intimidation and discomfort.

Through each experience, she learned that discomfort often signals growth and alignment with God’s guidance.

Resha’s Advice for Others Facing Fear

“If an action step feels scary, remember the confirmation you felt that it’s the right step. Take action even if it’s uncomfortable. Opposition doesn’t mean you’re wrong, it often means you’re on the right track. Trust God, follow His prompting, and keep moving forward. You can handle it!”

Resha’s story is a beautiful reminder that faith, small consistent actions, and trusting God can transform fear into confidence and dreams into reality.
