Round 2 is in the books!

I’ve learned that—at least for me—the first day of a chemo round isn’t miserable, it’s just weird. Around here we call it “Mom’s glitching again.”

Like today, when I was trying to film my daughter’s beach volleyball game and suddenly my fingers wouldn’t cooperate. “Trevan! Quick—take the camera—I can’t push record!!” Or when my tongue just disconnects from my brain mid-sentence and out comes total nonsense.

The first round, that was scary. This round? Honestly hilarious. We haven’t laughed this hard in a long time.

Thank you all for your prayers—I feel them. They’ve carried me into Round 2 with eagerness. I’m fired up to knock these out. I know from last time that the rough parts don’t last, and by the end of the week I’ll feel better again. That reminder alone makes the bumps less intimidating.

Huge thanks to my friend Jerusha, who helped me reframe even the side effects as something to celebrate—because it means the treatment is hitting where it matters. And my dropping CEA levels are the proof. ❤️

Oh, and in other big news: Sarah is still undefeated. So yeah… it’s a pretty great day.
