Out of Vibration

guest posts law of vibration overcoming adversity Oct 16, 2019

All things are in a constant state of vibration.

Science confirms that every substance—whether liquid, solid, or gas—is made up of molecules in motion. Everything vibrates. And not only that, everything has its own unique frequency, much like colors or musical notes each have their own distinct wavelength. This never-ending vibration serves as a medium for transmitting signals—it’s a form of communication that operates whether we’re aware of it or not.

So what happens when we apply this law to our thoughts?

Our minds are powerful, creative tools. As James Allen wrote:

“The outer conditions of a person’s life will always be found to be harmoniously related to his inner state… The soul attracts that which it secretly harbors; that which it loves, and also that which it fears… Men do not attract that which they want, but that which they are.”

If I want to change my circumstances, I have to change my mind—and with it, my vibration.

New thoughts spark new frequencies. As I shift my internal state, I move into harmony with new conditions that match the vibration of those thoughts. This is how we attract new experiences—by changing who we are, not just what we want.

The truth is, many of us go through life mostly on autopilot. Without conscious effort, we continue to match the vibration of our surroundings—even if we don’t like them—simply because we’re not aware we have the power to change them.

But when we do wake up and begin to shift our vibration intentionally, we start coming into harmony with brighter, better possibilities.

Let me give you an example from my own life.

When I was working through my mentoring course, I had a habit of reserving a free room at the public library to study and write without the distractions of home. For a while, it served me well—but eventually, I started to feel out of sync there. Something just didn’t feel aligned anymore.

One day I arrived late, and my reserved room had been given to someone else. As a backup, I ended up at a local restaurant that had a quiet space in the back—and to my surprise, I found the atmosphere much more energizing and uplifting than the library had ever been. It felt like a better match for who I was becoming.

Looking back, I believe that shift happened because my vibration had changed. Through conscious study and persistent effort toward becoming a mentor, I was growing. And my environment responded. I had aligned with a space that supported my new energy and goals more effectively.

Along the way, I’ve also discovered how many limiting beliefs had been running the show in my life—quietly shaping my vibration, and holding me back.

These thoughts operate like background programs, keeping us tuned into the same unhelpful frequencies and preventing us from accessing the ideas and breakthroughs we want. If we don’t stop to examine them, they run on autopilot—directing our choices and reinforcing our stuckness.

One of my biggest stumbling blocks was a belief I carried for years:
“I never finish anything.”

It sounds simple. Harmless, even. But I said it often—and I meant it. Deep down, I believed it was true. And because I believed it, I made it true. I sabotaged my efforts again and again. Every time I started a project, I’d lose interest, get discouraged, or tell myself it wasn’t sustainable. My home became a museum of half-finished crochet projects, sewing attempts, crafts, and DIY yard upgrades. I jokingly called myself the Queen of Unfinished Projects, but that title wasn’t funny—it was a symptom.

I had business ideas—some with real potential—but I’d tell myself I didn’t have a degree, so I wasn’t qualified to be an entrepreneur. I let that belief stop me, over and over again.

What I didn’t realize at the time is that those thoughts were keeping me at a vibration that made forward movement nearly impossible.

It has taken years of conscious effort to dig up those limiting beliefs and see them for what they really were: stories I had told myself—ones I molded myself to.

Now, I’m committed to raising my vibration. I’m letting go of what no longer serves me and tuning into something higher, truer, and better. I’m choosing thoughts that match the life I want—not the one I’ve outgrown.

And everything is starting to change.
