Need More “Luck” In Your Life?

Trisha and I met at a business/self-development weekend retreat. She was kind, easy to talk to, and I enjoyed our conversations. Over the course of the weekend, I learned she was a rep for a holistic pet food and supplement company.
I had no idea at the time, but doing her a small favor would end up transforming my business.
At that point, I wasn’t totally happy with the food I was using for my animals—but I also wasn’t convinced hers would be much better. I’d become jaded with the pet food industry. Too many companies seemed to put profits before pets, cutting corners and swapping out quality ingredients for cheaper ones. As a breeder, I had seen the toll that kind of compromise takes on both parents and litters.
And Trisha’s food? It cost more. And I was on a tight budget.
But when she asked if I’d be willing to try it, I said yes.
In my mind, I was just doing her a favor.
Now, more than three years later, I can confidently say it was the best pet food decision I’ve ever made. My animals are healthier, my litters are stronger, and my vet bills have gone down. On top of that, it’s created an extra stream of income in my breeding business.
All because I said yes to “helping Trisha.”
This is such a powerful example of the Law of Cause and Effect—what we send out truly does return to us. Some people refer to it as the Golden Rule. Regardless of what you call it, the principle remains the same: every action we take sets something in motion.
So, let me ask you—what do you want more of in your life?
Send that out into the world, and watch it come back to you.
People sometimes comment on how “lucky” I am. But here’s what I’ve learned through this law and the other seven: luck isn’t random. It's about living in alignment with true principles and showing up in a way that invites good things to come back around.
One of my core beliefs is that we’re stronger together.
When we lift each other up—yes, even those some might label as “competition”—we all rise. I think of a local networking group I know that has seven attorneys who regularly attend. They’re all licensed to practice in multiple areas of law. Some would see that as a problem. Too much overlap. Too much competition.
But here’s the twist: each attorney has found a specialty they’re passionate about. They support each other, refer clients back and forth, and together generate more business than the solo attorneys in other groups.
That’s what happens when we shift from scarcity to abundance.
When competition turns into collaboration, everyone wins.
I’ve learned that the more I “help” people, the more I grow. The bigger my impact becomes. And the more opportunities flow back to me—often in ways I never expected.
P.S. If there’s something I can do to support you, I’d truly love to connect. Just reach out—I’m here to help however I can.
