My Part - God's Part?
Oct 26, 2011
By Mark Andrew Beach
When I’ve struggled—whether with a goal, a problem, a relationship, or even my physical health—I’ve often looked heavenward and pleaded, “What part is mine, and what part is Yours?” I’ve heard it said: “Pray as though everything depends on God, and when you rise, work as though everything depends on you.” That’s never been hard for me, because I tend to take on too much and try to control everything anyway. If anything, my mistake in the past has been doing too much—sometimes even trying to take over God’s part.
But as I’ve begun to internalize the Laws of Success and actually live by them, I’ve discovered that the answer to this question is woven into the laws themselves. They’ve shown me what my part is. And I love knowing where the line is between what I’m responsible for and what I can trust God to handle. This list—this application of the laws—is my part. If I commit them to memory and integrate them into who I am, I can move forward with peace, knowing I’m doing what I’m meant to do, and leave the rest to Him.

I have my goals and dreams written down, clearly defined, and always I remember:
The Law of Perpetual Transmutation -
I always attract the objects of my predominant thoughts and they are attracted to me.
The Law of Attraction -
I can keep my thoughts and attitude positive by comparing my situation to something worse and sincerely expressing gratitude.
The Law of Relativity -
I can increase my energetic vibration by improving my thoughts, which can elevate my emotions or feelings. This, in turn, increases my energetic vibration, and I am attracted to circumstances and things that are in harmonious vibration with myself.
The Law of Vibration -
By remembering the Law of Polarity—that everything has its opposite—if my situation is catastrophic, then it is equally and simultaneously wonderful. I look for the solution in every challenge; it's there for me to find.
The Law of Polarity -
I remember that in nature, there is a rhythm to everything. By law, the light will come. Good times don’t automatically mean bad times are around the corner. Sometimes, the ‘good’ becomes a plateau, and I’ll feel unsatisfied—not because life is bad, but because it’s time for growth. That growth leads me to even better times and greater purpose.
The Law of Rhythm -
Just as my thoughts create my results or circumstances through my actions, I send good out into the universe and it will always come back to me. It may not return directly, but it will return.
The Law of Cause and Effect
When I live these truths, I find peace. I know I’m doing my part—and that clarity gives me the strength to keep going. It’s what allows me to both trust the process and trust God with the rest.
