From the moment I got married, I found myself exposed to a steady stream of multi-level marketing programs. I joined several of them, always hoping this one would be the key—the one that would finally give me the knowledge and tools I needed to succeed. I loved the camaraderie, being surrounded by like-minded dreamers. I thrived on the seminars, the motivational books and recordings. And for a while, things would go well. But then, like clockwork, the old patterns would creep in—challenges, self-doubt, or the infamous terror barrier—and I would retreat back into the familiar comfort zone, dreams in tow.

Still, there was one dream I never let go of: I wanted to be on that stage. I wanted to inspire and uplift others with the same kind of energy that had once lit a fire in me.

Eventually, the MLMs faded from my life, but the dream of teaching never left. I started taking classes with Kirk Duncan at 3 Key Elements and absolutely loved the principles he taught. I enrolled in The Art of Mentoring and Present Yourself. I remember sitting in Present Yourself, listening to Kirk share story after story from his own life. And as I listened, a thought hit me hard: I can’t do this. I don’t have any good stories to share.

Ten years went by—ten years of ups and downs, raising six kids, navigating all the curveballs life throws. And then something shifted. I knew it was time to work on my mindset. I was craving peace, connection, and the reminder that I wasn’t alone… that I was worthy of the love I had often felt deprived of. I began keeping a prayer journal, determined to be more intentional about my relationship with my Heavenly Father. I had drifted, and I wanted to come back.

Around that time, I’d been diving into the Law of Attraction but felt like something was missing. Then I remembered Leslie Householder’s Hidden Treasures, a book I had read years before. I picked it back up, and it resonated more than ever. Hungry for more, I bought the combined volume of The Jackrabbit Factor and Portal to Genius and signed up for a free course. About a month after I started my prayer journal, I got a call from Christy Lee, who introduced me to the MQ test. On the follow-up call, I knew exactly what my next step was: Guided Mindset Mastery.

Since then, I’ve continued to grow within the Rare Faith community—most recently with Live Life Lean and now the Facilitator Track. And looking back, I can clearly see the evidence of God's hand guiding me every step of the way.

A few months ago, while deciding whether to join the Facilitator Track, I took a moment to reflect on what I’d learned and how far I’d come. And for the first time, I looked back over the last ten years with compassionate clarity. Yes, I had struggled and fought—but I had also persevered, grown, and triumphed.

All those years ago, when I told myself I couldn’t fulfill my dream because I didn’t have any stories, I buried that dream. But the truth is: I was building those stories the entire time. Life gave me exactly the experiences I needed to grow, to change, and to become someone relatable, someone real. And now, I finally see that I do have stories—plenty of them—and I’m using them to teach life principles and uplift others, just like I always dreamed I would.

Today, I feel seen, loved, and cherished by a Father who invites me to become more. I know now that everyone has a story. And as we reach outside ourselves and begin to truly see others—the way the Lord sees them—we bless and enrich each other’s lives in powerful ways.

Most importantly, I’ve learned to see myself through His eyes, too.
