Your thoughts control your personal vibration. Change your thoughts, get emotionally involved with them, and you’ll change what’s attracted to you. According to Bob Proctor, a “feeling” is nothing more than a conscious awareness of a particular vibration.

My second daughter, Sydnee, is one of the happiest kids I know—most of the time. But when she doesn’t understand something or feels overwhelmed, anxiety creeps in. If plans shift from what was originally expected, it really throws her off.
Honestly, I’ve struggled with the same thing growing up, so I completely understand how she feels.

One particular day was especially rough. She was working on a school assignment, and something in the directions confused her. She came into my room, nearly in tears, unsure of what to do.

I asked how I could help. She plopped on the bed and began explaining what was going on. As she talked, her emotions shifted from sadness to frustration and anger. Then, right when she tried to show me the issue—her computer froze. That pushed her over the edge.

That’s when I gently told her, “Take some deep breaths. We need to calm down first. If we can do that, we’ll be able to figure this out.”

She gave me a glare (of course!), but she listened. She started taking deep breaths. Within about two minutes, she was calm enough for us to revisit the problem.

We opened her computer again—it worked just fine. We found the source of the confusion and resolved it in less than five minutes. Off she went, feeling empowered and relieved.

Now, keep in mind, she had been stuck on that one problem for 30 minutes. But because she was so worked up, her brain couldn’t function clearly. And honestly? I think the computer picked up on her vibration too, because it completely froze! But once her energy shifted, everything else followed.

She had been thinking, “This is so hard,” and “My teacher is being unfair.” And guess what? That thought pattern made everything feel harder. But the moment she saw it differently, it became easier. The facts didn’t change—her vibration did.

Change your thoughts, and you will change what is attracted to you.
