Everything Works to My Benefit

The Law of Perpetual Transmutation teaches that everything is either coming into form or going out of form. I like to think of it like a muscle—when it’s being worked, it grows and becomes stronger. But when it’s neglected, that same muscle atrophies and loses the strength it once had.
Leslie Householder explains it perfectly in Hidden Treasures:
“So long as you held the thought in your mind, everything you needed was, by law, beginning to be drawn to you. When you let go of the idea, all those things were drawn away from you. You never saw evidence of these changes taking place, so you had no idea that what you desired, was being affected by your thoughts” (pg. 37).
I’ve always loved learning and applying new knowledge to my life—I believe we’re all lifelong learners, always evolving. But I went through a 7-year stretch where life just felt like too much. The challenges I faced in my career consumed all my attention and pulled me into a mental space where the idea of learning or growing felt impossible.
I was in a rut. Honestly, I felt like stale bread—lifeless, stuck. I knew I wasn’t growing, and that realization left me feeling like something inside me was slowly slipping away… like I was dying a little on the inside.
When I learned about the Law of Perpetual Transmutation, it all started to make sense. During those hard years, I had allowed life’s challenges to dim my inner light. I stopped dreaming. I stopped setting goals. I stopped creating. And without that light—without that drive—I lost my desire for life itself. Life is meant to be lived. It’s meant to be learned and created and felt. I was missing it. I knew I was missing it, and yet I felt stuck—like I couldn’t do anything to change it.
But then, an opportunity came. A shift in our environment. My husband and I had the chance to move out of state, and we took it. I remember the moment we made that decision—I said something bold to God, the Universe, Spirit…
"If we do this, then everything from this day forward will work to my benefit."
I didn’t just say it—I declared it. I was done being stuck. I was ready to live fully again.
So I want to encourage you: speak boldly. Declare what you want in life. Don’t whisper your dreams—own them. Move forward in faith, take the next best step, and trust that it is already working for your good.
