Box Fan Miracle

Positive Thinking Tip:
The miracle you need is at the end of all you can do, so keep on truckin'!
Let me tell you about a guy I know and the unexpected (and surprising) miracle that showed up after he taped a box fan to the front of his personal motor coach...
His name is John. John was traveling with some business associates in a large, very expensive rig. It was critical for him to get to a meeting where he was the keynote speaker. But as they motored along, he noticed the engine temperature starting to rise.
One of the passengers grew concerned and warned that if John didn’t pull over and wait for help, he would ruin the engine. John knew plenty about auto repair, but he didn’t have the tools he needed. Plus, they were so far from civilization that waiting for a tow wasn’t an option—it would take far too long, and the tow bill for a rig that size would have been astronomical. John didn’t even entertain the idea.
Instead, he pushed that motorhome forward and kept going.
As they approached the final hill before the next town, the passenger warned again, “John, even if we do get to the next town, it’s Sunday. There won’t be any shops open to repair it anyway.”
Weary of the negativity, John turned to him and said, "I'm NOT going to stop until I HAVE to!"
In John's mind, he hadn't yet done all he could do, so it wasn’t time to change the plan. Instead, he locked his focus on the destination and held onto faith that somehow he’d find a way to make it in time.
Then, he got an idea: What did the rig need to stay cool? The engine fan had stopped working—it needed air circulation. He remembered he had a large box fan, so he duct-taped it to the front grill of the motorhome, ran the cord through the window, plugged it in, and hiked that final hill.
What a sight that must have been to oncoming traffic!
They finally pulled into a Burger King and sat down at a table to figure out their next move.
As they talked about their predicament, a Burger King employee overheard them and said, “Hey, I own an auto shop. Here, take the keys, open it up, and you can use my equipment.”
Before long, they were back on the road, and John accomplished exactly what he had set out to do. Against all odds, they made it to the meeting on time.
So here’s the point:
John’s miracle was waiting for him in that town the whole time. He didn’t have to go the whole distance; he met the solution halfway—by pressing on and having faith that the solution would meet him at the true end of all he could do.
That’s life. That’s how we need to approach all of our problems—whether financial, emotional, spiritual, or social.
We must do all we can to get ourselves to the miracle we seek and trust that that is where we’ll find it. We can’t let that final hill—the hardest part—discourage us.
Because after all, "there is no witness until AFTER the trial of our faith."
